HOORAY!
After months of eager waiting at all hours of the night, I finally saw an Affairaphernalia item in the recently listed stream. What a joyous occasion for a cupcake stand to have.

It's May!

Spring has been a busy time for Affairaphernalia. The Mini Pink Cupcake Stands have been flying out of here - over 30 sold! Even if that seems like a small number, it means huge success in the world of cupcake stands. In addition to the pink stands, custom orders keep rolling in.

The Alice in Wonderland and Sex and the City stands are a hit online. I have been experimenting with using paper and cloth to add a little something extra to each order.

Affairaphernalia was also part of a feature by Antoinette's Whims of Treasury West last week. In a treasury ETSY members choose their favorite items in the hopes that each featured seller will get more traffic and thus, more attention from the ETSY powers that be to be featured on the main page. How very flattering!

Hooray for spring!

ETSY Showcase #1 - such a success!

I hope you had a moment to check out Affairaphernalia in the ETSY Holiday Showcase today. If you missed it, don't worry! I will have another on February 10 ~ just in time to ship for Valentine's Day.

The spot was such a great way to let people know about the store. I am please to say that I have one confirmed order for 6 mini cupcake stands and several other bids/conversations with other interested parties. That more than makes up for the cost of the spot!

I have also placed several bids on ETSY's Alchemy forum - which is really my ultimate goal. ETSY members post their needs for items and storefront owners are allowed to submit bids. Here's hoping this was a successful venture into submitting bids on a regular basis. I'll let you know if any of my bids are accepted.



Thanks for your support and enthusiasm for Affairaphernalia! I think my favorite comment was that someone liked the Mini Pink Cupcake Stands so much they almost cried. WOW!

This project has been such a labor of love - pun intended! I am so proud to have met this deadline in time for Valentine's Day 2010. Valentine's Day - for the lover in you!

Custom Orders Available

Well... let's face it. Most of the orders so far have been custom dealies. That's sort of the point of Affairaphernalia.

This here is the latest of several custom creations.
I always like it when great minds come together to make something come to life.

These cute 4-5" stands will adorn a "treats table" in the greater Baltimore area within the next 72 hours.

Let every day be Valentine's Day!

Valentine's Day will soon be here and where would we be without the onslaught of pink and red? And what kind of crafty lady would I be without making my own contribution?
I'm not a huge fan of Valentine's Day. I like the sentiment. I like candy. I like any excuse to go out to dinner. However, I'm definitely of the "why do you need a day?" camp. Also, it makes me sad to think that kids may be getting their feelings hurt in school that day. I encourage all parents to practice giving each kid in the class a Valentine - that is, if your school still allows this.

All that being said, it's time to unveil some new Affairaphernalia products and I couldn't be more excited about that! Stay tuned for photos and links to the ETSY store.
